Steak and Smoked Gouda Bagel

Directions

Brown strips of beef sirloin with mushrooms and caramelized onions. Toast the inside of two bagel slices and spread them with mustard and mayo. Assemble the bagel using the steak, mushroom and onion mix. Add a Gouda with Smoked Flavour cheese slice and allow it to melt with the residual heat of the meat. The Gouda with Smoked Flavour cheese featured in this steak bagel adds a unique smoky taste!

Go one step beyond: For a more pronounced taste, braise the mushrooms in beer. Brown the mushrooms in butter, garlic, brown beer and Worcestershire sauce until the liquid has reduced.

To speed up preparation time, portion the meat, mushrooms and onions in advance. When the time comes, simply add them together on the griddle.
