Spaghetti with Sour Cream Alfredo Sauce

This Alfredo sauce inspiration uses a sour cream base to marry all of the ingredients together. As it cooks, it brings out and enhances the smokiness of the ham, the sweetness of the red pepper, and the spiciness of the chili flakes. 14% cooking sour cream’s thickness will help the sauce stick to the spaghetti, and its higher fat content will prevent the sauce from separating. Top off this decadent dish with some shaved Parmesan cheese for a savoury bite.

Chef Scott Brown

Make it vegetarian by swapping the ham for vegetarian sausages. You can also experiment with diced pancetta instead of ham or with Grana Padano cheese for a more elevated feel.
