Butter Chicken Poutine


Cozy Canadian classic meets widely acclaimed Indian dish in this delicious butter chicken poutine inspiration. Creamy, squeaky cheese curds pair perfectly with the curry sauce to create the ultimate comfort food dish. Cover a plate of fries with a good helping of cheese curds, pour hot butter chicken mixture on top, and garnish with green onions

Go one step beyond: To make the sauce, sauté onions, ginger, and garlic in clarified butter until well browned. Toss in the garam masala, turmeric, ground coriander, and cumin along with chili powder and cook until fragrant before adding crushed tomatoes. Puree until smooth, incorporate the chicken along with water and simmer until cooked. Once done, stir in cream and sugar.
