Sweet La Sauvagine Fondue

This irresistible dessert swaps the usual chocolate for a blend of La Sauvagine cheese, mirin, maple syrup and ginger, creating a unique and indulgent experience for summer. It's an easy, shareable dish that your patrons will love, whether they're dipping fresh fruit, crunchy nuts or soft cake.

Ingredients

  Fondue
  • 250 gr La Sauvagine Cheese
  • 15 ml Cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp Ginger, minced
  • 75 ml Mirin
  • 30 ml Maple Syrup

  • Graham Crackers
  • Raspberries
  • Strawberries
  • Walnuts

Directions

  1. Warm the ginger with the mirin in a saucepan over medium heat until simmering.
  2. Cube the cheese and remove the rind, then toss the cubes in cornstarch to coat. When the mirin is hot, add the cheese.
  3. Stir slowly with a wooden spoon at first and then switch to a whisk. Stir constantly to keep it from scorching.
  4. Add maple syrup and stir to combine, then pour the cheese into your fondue pot and keep warm over low heat.
  5. Serve with garnishes of your choice!
