Bacon Wrapped Cheese Stuffed Prawns

Indulge in a perfect fusion of flavours with these Cajun spiced, bacon-wrapped prawns, heightened by the creamy Monterey Jack with Jalapeño cheese. Whether enjoyed on their own or accompanied by a tangy Ranch dipping sauce, these delectable crustaceans are not only low-carb and keto-friendly1, but make for the ultimate gameday appetizer!


  • 10 slices of Bacon
  • 16-20 (500 g) Prawns  
  • 1 Jalapeño Pepper each
  • 150 g Monterey Jack Jalapeño Shred
  • 10 g Cajun Seasoning
  • 10 g Cilantro, chopped
  • 5 ml Lime Juice
  • 100 ml Ranch Dressing


  1. Slice bacon strips in half and place them on a parchment lined baking sheet and cook for 3-5 minutes at 200°C to slightly cook the bacon.
  2. Meanwhile, butterfly each shrimp and slice the jalapeños into thin julienne.
  3. Place one slice of jalapeño and about 5-10 g (as much as you can fit) of cheese in the opening of the shrimp, then wrap a slice of bacon around the shrimp
  4. Skewer the shrimp with toothpicks to secure.
  5. Sprinkle the cajun seasoning over the top of all the bacon wrapped shrimp.
  6. Broil on High for about 10 minutes, until browned. Remove toothpicks and serve.
  7. For the Cilantro Ranch dip, simply mix the cilantro, lime juice, and ranch. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.;
